The meal

Welcome to the Domaine des Grands Fers

 

It was in 1890 that Antoine Vermorel, my great-grandfather, then winemaker at “Point du Jour” in Fleurie, bought this farmhouse on the Vivier road to set up his winery here.

 

132 years later and three generations after, I am proud to manage this small winery since 1991 located on the most fabulous terroirs of the Fleurie appellation.

 

A culture close to nature made of observations and patience, respect for the man and his environment, careful vinification carried out in the most absolute tradition, a long and noble aging reveals the colorful, fragrant, rich and racy blood. of our Gamay grape variety.

 

The estate is HVE3 certified and in conversion to Organic Farming.

 

Come and discover our cuvées around a warm and friendly dinner.

 

If the weather permits, a walk through our vineyards will be on the program.

The chef in a nutshell:

Graduated from the Paul Bocuse Institute and after several years spent in gourmet Michelin restaurants, notably with Mathieu Viannay or Davy Tissot, I decided to start my own business by offering private chef services, catering but also cooking classes.

 

My signature dish:

Not just one, the inspiration changes over time, travels and encounters.

Nevertheless, the Pâté-Croûte remains one of my favorite dishes that I like to share during my cooking workshops.

 

Why Christian wines?

 

We share, with Christian, the love of good things, good products and French gastronomy. He shows it through his wines and me through my cooking, perfect match !
