The meal

I'm Sébastien Gutty, your host for the evening. I'm in charge of the vineyards, winemaking and wine sales at Château Gaillard, a historical, 14-hectare family estate. 

I produce Beaujolais Villages and Fleurie as well as Morgon, our flagship wine, and I have my heart set on giving you a chance to taste it.

My estate is certified for High Environmental Value (HVE Level 3), in order to protect my health and the environment. 

 

For our evening together, I suggest arriving around 6:30 pm to start with a tour of our cellar, dating back to 1897, followed by an authentic Lyonnais dinner.

Why did you choose Eric Hugon's cuisine? The Hugon bouchon was a definite must since the late Henri Hugon’s ashes were scattered here on the estate.

The chef: Eric Hugon, chef at "Chez Hugon" the authentic bouchon lyonnais, is carrying on the Lyon culinary tradition as it should be. 

 

An institution since 1937, Arlette Hugon is one of the last internationally-renowned Mères Lyonnaises (female chef). And what could be better than a tasty meal paired with Beaujolais wines…
