The meal

From the Domaine des Grands Fers to Maison Vermorel,

 

It was in 1890 that Antoine Vermorel, my great-grandfather, then a winemaker at "Point du Jour" in Fleurie, purchased a farmhouse on the road to Vivier, in the place called "Les Grands Fers," to establish his winery.

 

It is only natural to join Hasan in this magnificent residence, whose surname Vermorel is so dear to us and laden with history, innovation, and progress.

 

Victor Vermorel and my family may have no direct familial connection, but the resonance of this name in Beaujolais is part of the history of our terroir.

 

After 134 years and three generations, I take pride in managing this estate since 1991, located on the most fabulous terroirs of the Fleurie appellation.

 

A culture, certified in Organic Agriculture, based on observation, patience, respect for humanity, and the environment; 

meticulous winemaking conducted in the utmost tradition, a long and noble aging process reveals the colorful, fragrant, rich, and distinctive blood of our Gamay grape.

 

Come and discover my vintages in a highly historical location in Beaujolais, amidst dishes crafted by Hasan Haj, chef of "La Table Vermorel," the restaurant of Maison Vermorel, in a convivial communal table format served in the salons of the house.

 

A visit to the house and its rooms is planned before the meal begins.

 

If weather permits, we will serve the aperitif outdoors in front of the magnificent greenhouse of the house.
