June 8 and 9, 2019
We're looking forward to participating in the "Bienvenue en Beaujonomie" event, and will be serving traditional dishes with a twist.
The concepts of sharing and togetherness are part of the Beaujolais DNA, and at Domaine Piron, we share those values wholeheartedly.
We'll greet you in Morgon for three meals, and to do so, we'll be accompanied by two chef-friends. It'll be a cooking duo!
Olivier Degand is the chef and owner of La Ferme du Poulet hostelry in Villefranche in the Beaujolais region, a 2015 Trophéees de la Gastronomie winner, member of the Toques Blanches lyonnaises, and, above all, the 2016 paté en croute world champion!
...and Vincent Leleu is a 26-year old chef who, after having created the restaurant L'Éclat on Quai de la Pêcherie in Lyon, and then being left on the sidelines by the financier who had helped him, has just joined Christophe Marguin's culinary team in his new restaurant Le Président in Lyon.
Vincent was picked as a JRE (a young and talented European restaurateur), and in that capacity, he was one of three JREs who launched the Beaujonomie concept for Inter Beaujolais in February 2018 at Le Perchoir in Paris.
At Domaine Piron, we’ll be organizing all three meal options the same way: so, meet us at either 11:30 am for lunch on Sunday, or 6:30 pm for dinner on Saturday or Sunday. First we'll take a little tour of the vineyards and cellar, to give you a glimpse of the winemaking profession, followed by a pre-meal tasting in the cellar, and finally, we'll all sit down together at the host's table.
