The meal

Joseph Bouchard, in charge of Château de Poncié, will show you around the estate, pointing out all its charming features, as well as the biodiversity and wealth of the Fleurie terroir. 

 

You'll get to roam around the organic vineyard, learning about all the facets of the winegrowing profession and discovering the region's breath-taking landscapes. After a tour of the vineyards and a tasting, we'll share a meal in the heart of the estate, prepared by local chef, Aurélien MEROT, from L'Auberge du Cep.

His signature dish: supême poultry breast stuffed with foie gras, and legs en caillette (rennet-style), all prepared with Fleurie wine.

 

Why Château de Poncié wines? It's one of the region's greatest estates; I've been rubbing shoulders with Joseph Bouchard for years.
